What is "Bench Read"?

For most all-key-lost cases, you’ll need to perform a bench read — a process where the vehicle’s control module (e.g., BCM, Body Control Module) is physically removed from the car. A specialized programmer then reads the encrypted immobilizer data directly from the module’s chip.

BCM modules are the most common target for bench reads, as they store critical data like immobilizer passwords, key chip information, and matching data for brands like Volkswagen, Audi, Hyundai, and Kia.

Note: Bench read operations require a tablet-based tool (e.g., IM508S Pro, IM608S II) — the KM100X cannot support this advanced functionality.
